A very popular public teaching followed by a delicious vegetarian lunch at the Centre. The meditation class covers methods to calm the mind and is suitable for everybody interested in meditation and improving their mind. The class includes breathing meditation techniques and discussion on how we can improve our experiences of daily life, our inner happiness and relationships. Everyone welcome. By donation.

Come to our Sunday Meditations and bring your children! The Centre will be running easy meditation, mindfulness and values-based activities for children aged 5-15.

Thursday Evening Study Class1

We will resume the study of Shantidevas Bodhisattvas Guide, a famous treatise encompassing the Buddhist path.

This class is suitable for everyone with a sincere interest in Buddhist thought.

Preliminary Practices for Meditation

Saturday 16 June, 9.30am - 5.00pm and Sunday 17 June 2.30pm - 5.00pm

These are the preliminary practices we engage in to prepare for our meditation sessions.

Geshe Tharchin will outline how and why we can accomplish these.

Hatha yoga classes with Sue exploring a range of postures to increase strength and flexibility, build awareness and improve posture, breathing techniques to improve lung capacity and aid in stress relief, and guided relaxations/meditations for balance and calmness.

Sue's enjoyed the holistic practice of Hatha yoga for over thirty years, and her yoga journey brought her to the Chandrakirti Centre four years ago. She loves sharing the many benefits Hatha yoga brings to overall health and well-being in her relaxed and gentle yoga classes.
