A very popular public teaching followed by a delicious vegetarian lunch at the Centre. The meditation class covers methods to calm the mind and is suitable for everybody interested in meditation and improving their mind. The class includes breathing meditation techniques and discussion on how we can improve our experiences of daily life, our inner happiness and relationships.

Mindfulness of Compassion
11th to 18th January 2019

Geshe-la will lead us in meditation and contemplation on compassion and right living. Based on the famous text “Thirty Seven Practices of Bodhisattvas” Geshe-la will share the secrets of developing a good heart and creating the causes for real happiness. Allowing us to overcome anxiety, develop genuine love and relationships, and find deeper meaning and contentment in life.

Buddhist Philosophical View of Emptiness
25th January to 4th February 2019

A deep explanation of the nature of reality and the way we perceive things, with insightful meditation. Geshe-la will teach from Chapter Six of Chandrakirti’s famous treatise on the Middle Way. Personal reflection will be encouraged to help gain experiential understanding of the way things exist.

Interpreted from Tibetan to English by Losang Dawa

All course materials and vegetarian meals are provided and included in the facility fee of $420 for the 7 day retreat, and $600 for the 10 day retreat. Accommodation is a separate cost and can be arranged with the centre, camping is available. The retreats will have  periods of silence with no devices, to allow us to deepen our understanding and practise.

Yoga for Meditators

Join Charlotte & Jen for this 3 hour workshop.

This workshop is ideal for those who like to learn, embrace or deepen the practice of yoga. The physical postures will be explored in a way that is accessible to everybody and will focus on how to use yoga to balance the energy and winds, which in turn calms the mind and uncovers its inner clarity.

The workshop will includes a yoga class, a breakdown of the alignment of key poses, plenty of time for questions and answers, and individual attention. This workshop will give you all the tools you need to develop your own home yoga practice.

This workshop is suitable for experienced meditators who would to like to establish a daily yoga practice, experienced yogis who would like to find another level of the physical practice, and for beginners who are interested in learning what yoga is all about.
